即兴萨克斯

从五岁起，Nelson 就开始对音乐产生兴趣。他常常会把在电台上听到的旋律在自己的键盘上弹出来。九岁时，他就开始练习吹单簧管，不过这四年他一直很羡慕学校交响乐队中的萨克斯手们。13岁他就开始练习萨克斯并且爱上了爵士乐和Funk音乐。他曾经向美国费城的萨克斯高手们Ben Schachter和Frank Mazzeo学过。搬回里士满的时候，他就开始在许多音乐场地演出，后来在成都巴鲁斯音乐酒吧和洋盘酒吧当作固定乐队的成员。除了萨克斯之外，Nelson还会弹键盘和贝斯，而且他对音乐制作也有所了解。

Nelson’s interest in music became apparent at the age of 5 when he started picking out melodies from his favorite songs on the radio with his Casio keyboard. He began clarinet as a child and received his first saxophone at age 13, where his love affair with Jazz and Funk music began. Mostly self-taught, his only formal training has come from lessons with Philadelphia sax greats such as Frank Mazzeo and Ben Schachter.

He’s been playing professionally in venues around Richmond and northern Virginia, and has held a residency in Chengdu Jiuyanqiao music clubs Blues Live House (巴鲁斯音乐酒吧) and 808 (YP). In addition to saxophone Nelson also plays keyboards, electric bass, and dabbles in music production.

数字绘画

向际纯，1942年6月出生于四川省武胜县，现居四川成都。原《科幻世界》美术副编审，四川音乐美术学院客座教授、成都蓝谷电脑艺术学校校长。长期以来，他致力于高等艺术院校的数字绘画教学、理论研究、艺术创作等。 中国美术博大精深，传统美术历史源远流长。然而，在新的数字时代背景下，美术的创作形式也在发生着改变。越来越多的艺术家们利用数字技术从传统的美术创作走向数字美术的创作道路，通过在电脑、iPad等工具来实现自己的美术梦。向际纯，就是这样一位致力于数字绘画创作的画家，近三十年的数字绘画创作生涯让他形成了对数字绘画艺术创作和理论研究的独到见解。

Xiang Jichun. Born in Wusheng, Sichuan, June 1942, based in Chengdu. Former Deputy Editor of Science Fiction World, Visiting Professor of Sichuan Conservatory of Music and Fine Arts, President of Chengdu Blue Valley Computer Art School.

Chinese art is extensive, with a long history of traditional art. Xiangjichun is one of China's earliest adopters of the iPad medium in digital painting, having devoted himself to digital painting, teaching, theoretical research and artistic creation for nearly thirty years.
