5月1日我们将迎来法国巴黎二人电子组合Acid Arab。
他们热爱将东方音乐（北非、黎巴嫩、埃及、土耳其或…孟买）融入电子音乐。从先锋acid house到如今流行的powerful techno。
值得一提的是，Acid Arab在法国极度风靡。
成员Guido Minisky和Hervé Carvalho都是在巴黎久负盛名的音乐人，在一次和知名DJ Gilb'R的突尼斯之旅之后，一切都变了，他们开始邀请众多知名的音乐制作人和他们一起制作只属于他们自己的，非常特殊的一种叫做“Acid Arab Collections”的音乐。

2013年由Versatile Records发行了Acid Arab的第一张EP——包含Minisky与Carvalho优秀作品的12英寸唱片，其中每一个作品都展现并延伸了Acid Arab理念，并充分展现了此主题的潜能。
连续发布两张EP后，2013年末他们宣布制作一张合集，并通过老东家Versatile发行，其中更是精选了法国杰出电子音乐人i:Cube、Etienne Jaumet与Pilooski诸多珍贵音频资料。

作为一种电子音乐新流派，最开始作为一个音乐项目概念由巴黎二人组合Acid Arab提出，从最初的facebook音乐家群逐渐发展为一种成熟风格。通常包含大量中东民族音乐元素采样，融合现今流行的acid house和powerful techno节奏。这种耳目一新的音乐直接导致近年法国音乐圈“东风盛行”。

Acid Arab is a duet from Paris whose goal is to mix all kind of Eastern music (North Africa, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey or… Mumbai) with electronic sounds, from pioneering acid house to today’s powerful techno.
Guido Minisky and Hervé Carvalho are Acid Arab. The basic idea behind the Parisian duo's project is to weld a loose network of Eastern influences—strings, percussion and Arabic melodies—to the framework of house and techno. In their own words, the project first started "as a concept, then a Facebook group, then a party, then (almost) a genre, then it was us."
In 2013 Versatile Records released the first Acid Arab EP, a various artists 12-inch that featured one track from Minisky and Carvalho (as Acid Arab) alongside productions from the likes of I:Cube and Crackboy, who remixed Omar Souleyman's "Shift Al Mani." Each production took the Acid Arab concept and ran with it, laying bare the project's potential. The release was followed by a second Acid Arab EP, this time featuring impressive cuts from Legowelt and DJ Gregory (as Headcore). And towards the end of 2013, they announced plans to release an Acid Arab compilation. Due out through Versatile this month, it features mostly unheard material from French luminaries like I:Cube, Etienne Jaumet and Pilooski,
“We are fascinated by eastern music and its codes, such as complex rhythmic structures (binary and ternary superimposing upon each other), which drive dancers to trance just like acid house does. We’d like to take these codes and use analog techno devices (beatboxes, bassline machines) to create something new : an oriental acid music which combines the coldness of techno and the emotional and dramatic power of the East. Our knowledge of the dancefloor is now digested and we have spent night after night digging records and files to know more about arabic music. We don’t want to be standardbearers of mixing whatever, we just want to be of our days. talking about mixing means there’s a split, a binary vision of an occidental vs oriental world – this is has-been. We don’t paste oriental sounds on occidental beats, we want to embody both cultures without pretending to reinvent oriental music or fooling ourselves by believing we’re inventing eastern dance music. We just want to be part of it, and contribute to this brilliant and enormous masterpiece that this music is, and has been for thousands of years.”
