In the Chinese tradition, the New Year is officially started from the New Year's Eve!  Each household purchases New Year's goods and prepares for the New Year.  Sooo, on this night, ART OF LIVE will bring you the most local Live set as your New Year's gift from us!

新一期掌管ART OF LIVE舞池的，是带有强大techno能量的成都本地模组舞曲工程师Heling、Art of Live常客——吴卓玲与.TAG的新朋友MING带来Live演出。Hidden Bar则由Karmasub带来精心准备的Minimal/House Long Dj set。

In the new edition of the ART OF LIVE, Heling, a local module dance music engineer in Chengdu with strong techno energy, and regular guests of Art of Live-Wu Zhuo Ling and .TAG's new friend MING will bring their live performances.  Hidden Bar is taken over by Minimal / House Long from Karmasub.

来自成都的音乐制作人Heling，带着一股超新星的能量，引领着当地蓬勃发展的电子音乐圈。伴随着不断扩展的中国当代都市文化，也基于常年对于独立音乐和关联性创作的专注和热情，他致力于在Techno舞曲的机械锤击声和冷漠而宏大的声响场景上演绎出高能量，以模拟声响为驱动的电子乐。

Heling, a music producer from Chengdu, led a thriving electronic music scene with the energy of a supernova.  Along with the ever-expanding contemporary Chinese urban culture, and based on his constant focus and enthusiasm for independent music and related creation, he is committed to output high energy via his mechanical hammering sounds and indifferent soundscape of Techno music.

Heling的现场表演兼具坚实的节奏，TB303类型的Baseline和多层次流动的旋律。在最近几年间，他充满爆炸性的现场表演点燃了中国各地的Club舞池和音乐节。作为一名出色的音响工程师，他也担任过知名独立乐队“声音玩具”和“星期三旅行”的吉他手，他以模块合成器为基础创作的Techno舞曲极富音乐性，对于Rave爱好者和电子乐迷都非常吸引力。凶猛阳刚又情感激烈——这是内涵一颗摇滚硬核和现代电子舞曲。

Heling's live performance combines a solid rhythm, TB303-type Baseline and multi-level flowing melody.  In recent years, his explosive live performances have lit Club dance floors and music festivals across China.  As an outstanding sound engineer, he has also worked as a guitar player for the well-known independent band "Sound Toy" and "Wednesday Travel." His Techno dance music, based on modular synthesizers, is very musical, attracting many Ravers and electronics  Music fans. Fierce masculine and emotional-this is his dance music with a hardcore statement!

Helling还是一系列视听视频表演“另一种语言”的主脑。另一种语言”在一些非同寻常的刺激地点展示中国最有意思的一些音乐人和视觉艺术家的作品。在成都电子音乐场景中，他是他的蒸汽旅舍“Elec-Gym”的策划者，也是一些年轻音乐人的精神导师，他无疑是一股将地下音乐推往新高度的原动力。

Helling is also the main brain for a series of audiovisual performances "in another language."  “Another Language” showcases the works of some of China ’s most interesting musicians and visual artists in unusually exciting venues. In the Chengdu Electronic Music scene, he is the curator of the “Elec-Gym”.  He is also a spiritual mentor of some young musicians, and undoubtedly a driving force to push underground music to new heights.

Heling年底即将在当地电子音乐厂牌环形山发行大家热切期待的首张LP。在中国最负盛誉的音乐活动中作为中流砥柱的他将面向欧洲和亚洲地区继续展开他在声音的太阳系甚至声音的宇宙中的探险。

At the end of the year, Heling will release the first LP that everyone is eagerly waiting for in the local electronic music label 环形山.  As the mainstay of China's most prestigious music event, he will continue his exploration of the solar system of sound and even the universe of sound towards Europe and Asia.

WUZHUOLIN「LIVE」

With her legendary personal experience and outstanding talent, Wu Zhuoling has become one of the iconic female artists in the independent music scene of China. She combines many roles into one: a singer-songwriter, a musician, the front woman of the livetronic band Wednesday’s Trip and a music producer, who has always been active in performing music live on stage.

Rich, pure, and deep.  In the form of Hardware Live, Ming presents an impromptu music form in the continuous exploration of sound possibilities; in the form of DJ, his music ranges from House / Techno / Disco and always focuses on music Interaction with human bodies. There’s always something unexpected freshness to spot in his set!

As one of the main forms of electronic music, Live set and DJ set have a fundamental difference in the artform. Compared to the selection of tracks, the foundation of a Live set goes deep into the soundscape designing, editing and playing. From the polishing of the sound texture, the large number of weaving soundscape, to the finishing of the material and the live interpretation, the whole process relies entirely on the technology and inspiration of the artists, which makes the output of Live set actually closer to the process of instrumental creation. The boundary between live set and traditional instrumental performances lies in the selection of non-traditional music style and the instrumental configuration.

For artists, the choice of equipment/instrument is always a hot topic. If a box of vinyls, a turntable and the audio files in the flash memory are the general weapons that DJs use to shake the dance floor, then Live performers are just far more than these. The skill of complex synchronization means powerful program logic-building. With the rapid advancement of technology, artists have become more diverse in their choice of equipment/devices. Complex models such as synthetic module racks, or even a single laptop, are all up to their musical styles. Some have exclusive instruments customized to their habit. However, whether it is a hardware module with a beautifully designed device or a powerful DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) that resides in the computer, there is only one common purpose in the hands of Live set performers - to create a wonderful music scene.
