由日本知名时尚电音制作人田中知之（Tomoyuki Tanaka）一手打造的概念音乐组合“梦幻塑料机器”（Fantastic Plastic Machine），擅长巧手调制时尚愉悦听觉、闻名东西电音界，不断地推出一些引领时尚的电音极品。田中知之多才多艺，不甘于艺人一种身份，经常以制作人、创作者、编曲与混音DJ等不同化身，巧妙穿梭在流行乐坛中。 他以FPM名义创作的音乐，风格极为广泛且多元，融入了对Bossa Nova与60年代电影音乐的热情，这样的的影响，使得FPM的音乐进入一个既时尚又复古的境地，在国际上获得了无数掌声与强力推荐！FPM至今已制作发行了9张原创专辑，包括收录了热门单曲“I was in love”的《Scale》。

不只于此，田中知之还跨界于电影圈、艺术界与时尚圈等，在多个领域都扮演积极角色，保持着旺盛的创作力与活跃度。他操刀了由日本著名艺术家村上隆主理的一线奢侈品牌 LOUIS VUITTON的商业广告动画电影《SUPERFLAT MONOGRAM》的音乐制作；受日本著名创作人田中耕一郎（Koichiro Tanaka）之邀，主理国际品牌优衣库（UNIQLO）全新推广营销多媒体作品“时间之舞”（UNIQLOCK）的音乐部分并为UNIQLO制作系列店面音乐，“UNIQLOCK”赢得了国际最权威的的三个广告奖，这件事被优衣库称赞为“UNIQLO CALENDAR”。此外，FPM的歌曲《Bachelor Pad》以配乐插曲出现在好莱坞电影《奥斯丁的权力–追逐我的间谍》(Austin Powers –the spy who shagged me)中，国际著名美剧经典《欲望都市》 （Sex and the City）也采用收录了FPM的不少音乐作品。

2014年，FPM策划组织了老朋友Howie B（Bjork，U2制作人）的日本巡演，并remix制作了HowieB最新专辑《Down With The Dawn》作品《Master Inch Mile Haunch》。作为DJ，FPM具有无与伦比引爆舞池的能量！他曾在世界各地100多个城市的顶级夜店或者大型户外音乐节演出，让无数派对动物陶醉不已。

关于LOUIS VUITTON的商业广告动画电影《SUPERFLAT MONOGRAM》

2003年，LV设计总监马可·雅克布（Marc Jacobs）邀请村上隆合作，独创将小花、蘑菇、樱桃或多彩图案用在经典Monogram系列上，推出的樱桃包等款式引发了消费者一阵抢购潮，同时也引领了时尚跨界与艺术家合作的风潮。LV的皮包产品用数十种鲜艳色彩代替之前的传统四色印刷，让原本稳重优雅的传统印象变得年轻缤纷。限量发售的EyeLoveMonogram系列沿用了最有村上隆符号感的“眼睛”。为了这个系列，村上隆还特地为LV设计新橱窗和动画电影《SUPERFLAT MONOGRAM》。在橱窗里和动画内容中，可爱地让人彷佛掉进一个充满想象的童话世界。而FPM的电影配乐，无疑也成为这个时尚与艺术的跨界经典的关键组成部分。

关于“时间之舞”（UNIQLOCK）

优衣库（UNIQLO）的推广创意，每次都能够让创意人拜倒。而其中在2008年开始的UNIQLOCK，更可以说是历史上最有创意的整合式社会化营销，它已经覆盖全球超过两亿人，而且这个营销自从开始之后，从没有间断过，也不会停下来。UNIQLOCK其实就跟很多人一起生活，让优衣库变成了一个活生生的品牌。

UNIQLOCK是一个音乐舞蹈时钟，我称之为“时间之舞”，确切地说是一个在电脑上或者是在手机上使用的时钟，你可以将它作为插件（Widget） 安装在博客网站上，或者作为屏保下载。 UNIQLOCK 吸引人的地方除了清纯的女孩子，还有舞蹈、视觉和音乐上的设计，它默默地宣传 UNIQLO每个季度的新款服装。

“时间之舞”是在2007年6月15日正式推出的。当时优衣库找到著名创作人田中耕一郎（Koichiro Tanaka）亲自设计全新的推广计划。优衣库不需要田中提交任何方案规划，也不会定时跟进他的创意和进度，完全让他自由发挥无尽的创意。于是，田中就提出了多个天马行空的方案，最终，优衣库采用了这个“时间之舞”的构思。这个多媒体作品的音乐，更是采用了著名音乐创作人“梦幻塑料机器”（Fantastic Plastic Machine）田中知之的作品。他善于制作能让人感到轻松愉悦的音乐，并以“沙发电音”（日本人称之为“无负担音潮”）的风格闻名电子音乐界。

FPM, Formerly known as Fantastic Plastic Machine is world renown DJ/Producer Tomoyuki Tanaka’s solo project. His original style of mixing dance music with his own roots music is highly regarded internationally. He has played in about 100 cities throughout the world. Besides releasing 8 original albums, the new album "Scale" including "I was in love" sampled 10cc's "I'm not in love" is now on sale from avex.

He also plays an active part in various fields such as music of the LOUIS VUITTON’s animation films “SUPERFLAT MONOGRAM”, “SUPERFLAT FIRST LOVE” by Takashi Murakami, and music of DANCE-MUSIC-CLOCK “UNIQLOCK” which won the grand prix at all of the world’s best 3 advertising awards, and new blog parts by UNIQLO called “UNIQLO CALENDAR”. Moreover, his song ‘Bachelor Pad’ is featured in the movie “Austin Powers –the spy who shagged me-“, and some other songs is used at the world famous TV drama “Sex and the City”.

In 2014, he organized his old friend Howie B's Japanese tour who is known as a producer of Bjork, U2 etc. Also FPM remixed his song ‘Master Inch Mile Haunch’ in his latest album.

The most producer-driven act in the Japanese pop movement known as Shibuya-kei, Fantastic Plastic Machine was formed by Tomoyuki Tanaka. Though he has the basic stylistic tastes requisite of the Shibuya-kei artist (namely lounge music, bossa nova, French pop and soft rock), Tanaka has more of a club mentality, driven by his long experience as a DJ. Born in Kyoto, he entered the music business in the late 80s as a bassist for a ten-piece trad-rock band known as Margarine Strikes Back. Absorbed into dance music and the acid-house movement near the turn of the decade, he formed a DJ team called Sound Impossible and began spinning a mix of French and Brazilian pop, soundtrack music, and exotica. At one Sound Impossible show, longtime Deee-Lite turntablist Towa Tei convinced Tomoyuki Tanaka to begin recording again, and Fantastic Plastic Machine was born. Tanaka contributed tracks to two compilations (Sushi 3003, Fish Smell Like Cat) and remixed Combustible Edison before signing to Pizzicato Fives Readymade Records. His self-titled debut album was released in 1998, and distributed in America by Emperor Norton. Luxury followed one year later; Beautiful and Take Me to the Disco appeared in early 2001.
